As I was reviewing photos from the lovely afternoon tea at Lockwood in the Palmer House Hilton, I giggled when I saw that I took zero photos of the tea. I took no photos of tea at a tea. What is wrong with me? Nothing. Because the best part of a tea is the scones, sandwiches, and pastries, not the tea, of course!
My friend Lori and I are always looking for a good excuse to get together, and this was the perfect escape on a Sunday. We met, drank tea, ate goodies, and clucked like hens for a couple hours. It was my first Sunday tea, and she warned me about drinking a giant pot of caffeinated tea if I wanted to go to bed in a few hours. Smart advice.
The sandwiches and scones were fine, but the desserts were divine. Each one was a bite of happiness.
You also get a chance to sit in the lobby of the Palmer House and gaze at the beautiful ceiling while lifting your pinky finger.
